Valle del Mar is a colorful oceanside town bisected by the De Toro bridge. To the West of the bridge is a quaint school, and to the East, a beautiful church. The key to holding this town is bridge control, as it's the only direct route between mainland and the isl
If you wish to try the R45 before PUBG Updates's official launch, you can do so on the game's Test Server, which helps the developers stress test and fine-tune new features ahead of their release. When the next major Test Server update launches, sometime after December 7th, the new desert map and the R45 will be included, along with vaulting, other tweaks, and new vehicles. Most publishers, however, won’t be willing to act on these suggestions. As previously mentioned, the Chinese market is often very lucrative, and region-locking won’t do away with the fundamental issue of cheating. A quarantine of all Chinese players will do nothing but frustrate both standard players and hackers alike in that area, and, should the region’s interest in the game fade because of an artificial blockade, Electronic Arts could stand to lose quite a bit of inco
We are excited beyond words that we can finally share the name of our new desert map and tell you a little bit about some of the places you can visit. When we decided to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel. We wanted to go the opposite direction of having lush fields and forests and arrived at the harsh and unforgiving desert of what we can now reveal is Miramar. The unique terrain and dense urban areas of Miramar will create a new Battle Royale experience where the old strategies may no longer work and new tactics are required. We don't want to tell you too much as you will soon be able to experience it all yourself but we did write a few short descriptions of several of the key landmarks and towns. You can find them below, together with the new screensh
We played PUBG's PS4 version throughout launch week where none of the game's modes could be played in first-person due to a lack of players (according to the in-game notification), and played it this week to see how it's evolved after becoming the most downloaded PS4 game in December. Currently only solo play is available in first-person so players can only play with friends or matchmake with others in third-person. Most games we play in any mode cannot fill the full 100 player cap and load times are s
Some games lack this middle level of tightened aim, and a lot of players may be uncomfortable adjusting to this way of bringing up the proper weapon sights. In third-person, the middle level of tightened aim gives players a way to focus on their target a little more accurately without having to switch to first-person, but in first person, it may not feel so useful. Giving players a way to decide how they want to switch between aim types should help improve players' comfort with the gunp
Sure, the core gameplay serves up a decent portion of enjoyability for those who simply want to dive in and do battle against others, as patience and persistence with figuring out the mechanics of PUBG on PS4 typically results in a more satisfying time each go-round. That said, the decisions behind specific control scheme choices for the DualShock 4 seem odd, and periodically makes for a needlessly steep learning curve. This is particularly evident in scenarios such as a tap of the Square button picking up and equipping items in the field, but needing to be held down in order to reload. Furthermore, holding L2 causes one to aim in third-person, while tapping that trigger will give players a first-person iron sights view, which is incredibly difficult to adapt to, much less master. Therefore, it's highly recommended to give Training Mode a try first before playing an actual ma
